Think pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there have been a number of news articles about breast cancer screening and when women should get a mammogram. It’s important to know the updated screening recommendations. The Canadian Cancer Society guidelines recommend women aged 50-69 have a mammogram to test for breast cancer every two years. If you are over 70, talk to your doctor to decide if you should continue. If breast cancer runs in your family, you may need more frequent tests.
