Stay connected this holiday! Maintaining connections while socially distanced

The holidays are often a time to gather with friends and family and celebrate the season. Due to the global pandemic, this year is looking very different for many Canadians, but also for people around the world. While we may not physically be with one another this year, that doesn’t mean we can’t feel connected. By harnessing the power of technology, we can connect with loved ones from home using virtual tools like video chat or through the phone. Consider setting up designated times to chat with loved ones and family during the holiday and reach out to those who may be on their own to talk to them and wish them well. A phone call or video chat with someone may just be what they need to brighten their spirits!

It is important, now more than ever, to maintain social connections to help reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation. So, while this holiday season may look a little different than those in the past, we can still make the most of it and feel emotionally close during these challenging times.

We wish you and yours a happy, healthy holiday!
