World Cancer Day 2018

February 4th is World Cancer Day. There are actions that everyone can take to reduce the impact of cancer on individuals, families and communities. For example, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and addressing other lifestyle factors can have a significant impact on one’s chances of getting cancer and other serious chronic diseases. While many types of cancer can be effectively treated, an estimated 41% to 63% of all cancer cases in women and men are preventable. World Cancer Day aims to save millions of preventable deaths by raising awareness about this disease.
