Celebrating caregivers

In the U.S., November is National Caregivers Month.  This important recognition was proclaimed by President Barack Obama in 2012 as a way to recognize the “humble heroes who do so much to keep families and communities strong.” Celebrating the efforts of caregivers and helping to raise awareness about caregiver issues and the support they require, are important for all countries. Here in Canada, caregivers will continue to play an integral role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our aging population and these caregivers deserve our thanks and support.
