Festive eating

‘Tis the holiday season! Sticking to your healthy eating plan can be more difficult at this time of the year, but don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s great to enjoy the foods you love (especially if it means you’re sharing memories and in the company of friends and family), but it’s also important to remember that a healthy diet is important to optimal aging. The prevalence of obesity means that more and more people are at high risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke and depression. With that being said, try to stay the healthy course with your festive eating habits, while giving yourself some wiggle room to indulge.
