This week, we recognized National Senior’s Day, a day in which Canadians celebrate the lives of older adults across the country and appreciate their many accomplishments and contributions. In Canada, we view aging as a success. While it’s important to recognize what they’ve already achieved, many older adults continue contributing to society by working, volunteering in the community, or keeping engaged in other ways.
In order to remain active in the community, it’s important to stay healthy as we age. Eating well, exercising and protecting our overall mental health are all pieces of the healthy aging puzzle.
