What do the stars mean?

May 15, 2015, 11:54 AM

Most records in the Portal's databases have been appraised for their quality of evidence using a 5-star system, where 0 is the lowest and 5 is the highest quality rating. These ratings are weighted to favour content that is clearly supported scientific research evidence.

Clinician content (including Evidence Summaries of Clinician records) is weighted to favour the most relevant and newsworthy evidence. External clinical experts review and rate these records and share their comments on the research. All records are appraised and must meet a quality standard to be included in the Clinician database.
